With funding provided by the Indian Health Services and collections from third party payers, patients are able to access a broad scope of health care services without having to travel great distances. On-site/direct care services include: pharmacy, general medicine, diabetes care, well-child examinations, home health care, behavioral health, psychiatry, general dentistry, nursing and laboratory services, WIC and nutrition programs, as well as a specialty clinics for podiatry.

Behavioral Health

Tiffany Martinez is a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner who has been practicing in mental healthcare since 2014. She is an advanced practice registered nurse trained to provide various mental health services to clients and families in multiple settings. Tiffany can diagnose, conduct therapy, and prescribe medications for clients who have psychiatric disorders, medical organic brain disorders, and substance use disorders. Spearheading our Medication Assisted Treatment Program (MAT), Tiffany uses a combination treatment approach, prescribing FDA-approved medication with various behavioral therapies for addiction treatment.
Previous positions include providing consult-liaison psychiatry services in the emergency department at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, providing behavioral health inpatient treatment and emergency department consultation at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick, providing outpatient psychiatric services at CCS Psychiatry in Lewiston, at Spurwink and Greater Portland Health clinics in Portland, Maine, and serving as a preceptor for multiple psychiatric nurse practitioner
students. Tiffany, who has also worked as a registered nurse and behavioral health professional is excited to return to Pleasant Point Health Center to serve her community. Tiffany specializes in psychiatric medication management, medication-assisted treatment, and supportive psychotherapy. Her treatment philosophies include a holistic, integrative, and harm-reduction approach. “I believe the best healthcare outcomes occur when a patient and provider develop a partnership built from trust, effective communication and mutual respect.
